On November 17, at the NA next sitting the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan gave a speech on the draft budget on the RA State Budget for 2022.

Without voicing any figures, he informed that in the upcoming year budget the expenditures designed for the spheres of security and defense increased. The Committee Chair has noted that they are consonant with the philosophy of the Government programme, according to which, we shall lay the bases, which will give an opportunity especially to the defense department to approach the idea of having a professional army. To reach that goal it is designed to make certain allocations for the expenditures of the armament, education and structural amendments. Highlighting the implementation of the Government programme, Andranik Kocharyan underlined: “We should uninterruptedly and sacredly to carry out it without pulverizing the costs.”

The Committee Chair also noticed that in the current year the profile expenditures increased conditioned by the increase of the border positions.

“At this moment, the situation is calm in the eastern part of the borders of the republic,” the Committee Chair noted.

Andranik Kocharyan urged his colleagues to vote for the draft budget.
